Carolyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor. She received her BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She holds 2 MA degrees from Amberton University; in both Professional Counseling and School Counseling.
She worked for several years in a clinical setting at Timberlawn Mental Health Hospital in Dallas. There, she concentrated on treatment for addiction and family crises. She has worked with families and students in trauma and crisis in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD since 2013. Carolyn has also been in private practice for several years, specializing in marital and relationship therapy.
Her style is dynamic and solution-focused. She works primarily with couples and adults—drawing upon her extensive training and experience with family systems therapy—even when working with individual clients. She holds firm in her belief that change can take place in a relationship even if only one person works on change.
